PSP Nearly Sells Out at Japan Launch; U.S. Release Moved Up?

U.S. launch moving up?
As it stands now, Sony still expects to have shipped 3 million PSPs worldwide by March 31, 2005, the end of the company's fiscal year. The PSP is scheduled to launch in North America in March 2005, but some analysts are beginning to think that a U.S. launch could happen even sooner to prevent Nintendo from jumping too far ahead with its Nintendo DS, which has done phenomenally well already both in Japan and the U.S.
